When an 80 year old man discovered that his house was being burglarized—he did what any reasonable person with a .22 caliber gun would do. He decided to defend himself.
When the couple saw the gun, they started to flee. But the man did not stop there, as most people would. He was unable to catch the man, so he shot the woman.
Now, people are (ironically) up in arms claiming that the man was wrong for shooting the woman, who no longer posed as an immediate threat to him. Others argue that the burglars put their own lives at risk by robbing the home.
